Subject: Monthly VeriSmart Phone Usage Verification Required
Dear FAU Telephone Users,
To comply with State of Florida requirements and University audit standards, FAU uses the VeriSmart Phone Verification System to review telephone usage charges.
Each month, you will receive an email from VeriSmart requesting that you review and verify any charges associated with your FAU telephone service. This verification must be completed monthly.
Because FAU telephone services do not incur charges for local or domestic long-distance calls within the United States, charges typically only appear for international calls. During the verification process, you will be asked to confirm that any charges listed were incurred for official FAU business.
If a charge was not related to FAU business, you will have the opportunity to reimburse the University for the expense.
As a reminder:
- Review and complete your VeriSmart verification each month.
- Reimburse the University for any personal calls or charges through FAU Marketplace (ePay): Repayments – Phone Bill Payment https://epay.fau.edu/C20081_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=117
- Sign and retain a copy of your verification form and any reimbursement receipt for audit purposes.
If you have questions regarding telephone charges or the verification process, please contact the OIT/Telecom Group at phonebillhelp@fau.edu.
