Presenting a PowerPoint from an iPad (laser pointer)



  1. Download the PowerPoint App: Ensure you have the Microsoft PowerPoint app installed on your iPad. You can download it from the Self-Service App.

  2. Open Your Presentation: Launch the PowerPoint app and open the presentation you want to present. You can access your files from cloud storage services like OneDrive or directly from your iPad.

  3. Start the Presentation: Tap the “Play” icon to start your presentation. Your slides will appear in full-screen mode. Swipe left or right to navigate through the slides.

  4. Use the Laser Pointer: To activate the laser pointer, tap and hold your finger on the screen. A red circle will appear where your finger is, acting as a laser pointer. Move your finger around to highlight different parts of the slide1.

  5. Use Additional Features: You can also use features like highlighting or drawing on slides during your presentation. Tap the pen icon to access these tools.

  6. Connect to a Larger Screen: If you’re presenting to a group, you can connect your iPad to a larger screen using AirMedia, which is available in BC126, BC128, and the PBL rooms.

  7. Practice: Familiarize yourself with the app’s interface and practice navigating through your slides to ensure a smooth presentation23.
